Aquinas Homeschool Co-op
Aquinas Catholic Homeschool Co-op is a group meets for 6 weeks in Fall and Spring, in the basement of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Winona, MN. Classes are geared toward children 4-13, though older children are also welcome, and a nursery is available for toddlers and babies.
Our goals are
-To have an opportunity for children to build community with other children their ages
-To take some school work off each of our plates at home & share the load
-To pool our resources & supplies for projects that might not otherwise be doable at home
-To provide opportunities to do things that work better in groups rather than at home
Dates & Time:
9:00am-10:30am
Fridays:
Oct 9, 23, 30 (All Saints Day Party), Nov 6, Nov 13, Nov 20 (No class Oct 16)
Students will break into small groups divided by age. *Groupings may change based on enrollment numbers.*
Seraphim (8-13+ years old)
Thrones (4-7 years old)
Cherubs (0-3 years old/Nursery)
This year we will focus on Science concepts of energy, electricity, and light.
There is a $20 per family fee to cover supplies, collected at the first meeting. If you only have children 3 and under (Cherubs) you do not need to pay the fee. One adult from each family is also expected to be present and to help share teaching responsibilities. We look forward to a wonderful semester! We hope to possibly end the year with a science fair this Spring!
*Please register by August 23 to give us enough time to plan for the semester*
